Email is the most widely used internet application and is a very convenient method of communication. Though widely used for personal communication, email is most effective for business communication.
Some of the advantages of using email for business communication are:

1. Cheap : the cost of sending an email is almost zero

2. Fast : Unless there is a problem in routing or email servers, email messages are delivered almost instantaneously

3. Ecofriendly : Since emails are composed and transmitted electronic, no paper is needed and energy resources consumed are minimal

4. Easy to keep and retrieve records : For most business communication, both the sender and the recipient has to maintain records. Filing and retrieving paper records can be a time consuming process, searching for emails is usually simple.
